Morning Steam Sencha is our Chado name for Sugimoto's Sencha Fukamushi, a deep-steamed green tea from Shizuoka. The deeper steam creates a fuller, more settled cup than a brighter, lighter sencha, while Sugimoto's finishing roast adds warmth without muting freshness. The result is savory, steady, and easy to return to over multiple infusions. It is on the shortlist because it feels like the clearest everyday expression of the lineup we want to build.

The Maker's Story
Sugimoto presents this tea as a signature Shizuoka sencha, and that matters to us. We want an opening lineup anchored by teas we can describe plainly: region, processing style, and what the cup actually tastes like. This tea is here as a forthcoming release while sourcing remains in progress and supply details are still being confirmed.
