The chawan is the most intimate vessel in tea preparation because it is both the bowl you whisk in and the bowl you drink from. Japan's tea-bowl traditions offer different kinds of beauty: Mino for bold glaze history, Hagi for surfaces that change with use, and Bizen for fire-marked unglazed form. We expect to source within that world rather than treat matcha bowls as generic accessories.
