Homare Spring Sencha is our Chado name for Sugimoto Reserve Sencha Homare, a spring-harvest tea from southwestern Shizuoka. It still sits inside Sugimoto's deep-steamed style, but the finer leaf selection and Yabukita base give it a more brothy, concentrated profile than an everyday sencha. We like it because it shows depth within the sencha category itself, not just a higher price point. It feels like a tea meant to be brewed often and paid attention to.

The Maker's Story

Homare matters to us because it gives the future collection a second anchor above the daily-drinker tier and below the gyokuro. We are drawn to teas with enough process detail to justify trust, and this one does that cleanly through harvest timing, cultivar, and finishing style. It remains sold out while we confirm whether it can be stocked consistently.
